Emma Raducanu admitted she struggles with movement on clay courts after her Madrid Open defeat. Despite feeling uncomfortable and unsure how to improve, she remains positive about gaining valuable match experience during only her second proper clay-court season.

The 22-year-old, who lost to 24th seed Marta Kostyuk, highlighted difficulties with sliding and recovering during points. Raducanu emphasized the need for more court time and training to develop her movement, acknowledging it will take patience and persistence.

Tennis pundit Colin Fleming believes Raducanu can still find success this clay season. He praised her competitiveness and noted her improvement potential, suggesting that continued work on clay will benefit her on grass and hard courts as well.
