British tennis star Emma Raducanu is currently navigating a challenging recovery process following a grade-four stress fracture. The injury has sidelined the former US Open champion since her impressive run to the final at the Queen’s Club tournament. Her absence has been a significant blow to British tennis, especially after she was forced to withdraw from Wimbledon.

The 23-year-old had been managing a lower-leg niggle since the clay-court season, which unfortunately escalated into a severe stress fracture. Medical professionals advised Raducanu against competing at the All England Club to prevent further damage. Consequently, she has focused entirely on her rehabilitation, striving to regain full fitness and return to competitive action as safely as possible.

Despite the setback, Raducanu remains optimistic about her prospects for the remainder of the season. Her primary objective is to complete her recovery in time for the US Open, the final grand slam of the year. Returning to the site of her historic 2021 triumph would provide a fitting stage for her highly anticipated tour comeback.

Meanwhile, fellow British player Jack Draper is preparing for his own return to the court. Having also missed Wimbledon due to injury, Draper has officially received a wild card entry for the upcoming ATP event in Washington. The 24-year-old will use the tournament to rebuild his momentum ahead of the North American hard-court swing.
