PGA Tour players have praised the transformation, with Jordan Spieth calling it the “first start in the new Colonial era.” Spieth, a former champion at the venue, commended the redesign for skillfully balancing tradition and innovation. Adam Scott also lauded the updates, emphasizing the importance of revitalizing aging courses to maintain playability and historical charm.

Ryan Palmer, who was involved in discussions about the renovation, expressed excitement about the changes, particularly the greens’ redesign.
