A number of top tennis professionals such as Emma Raducanu, Novak Djokovic, and Carlos Alcaraz will not play the Madrid Open, so it will add to a significant list of those who will miss the event this year in total, seventeen players.

After recent tournaments, Raducanu is still taking care of fitness issues, whereas Djokovic focuses on recovery and schedule management. Alcaraz, on the other hand is concerned with physical preparation following rigorous matches during the strenuous clay season.

The other prominent withdrawals also contribute to the depth of competition, with injuries and fatigue among other factors influencing participation, due to strategic rest options. The organizers have a rearranged draw without some of the high-profile participants and fan favourites.

The Madrid open will be an exciting affair, even in the absence of some of them, with young talents having the chance to shine. The focus is redirected to the up-and-coming players that are keen on cashing in and making their mark on some of the largest tennis stages ever.
