Jordan Spieth, a 13-time PGA TOUR winner, has long alternated between a hybrid and a 3-iron, depending on course conditions. Recently, he switched from his trusted Titleist TSi2 hybrid to the new Titleist GT2 hybrid, favoring its higher-launching ball flight. At Torrey Pines, he tested the new model but opted for a 7-wood due to the rough.

Now competing at the 2025 Cognizant Classic, Spieth is returning to a hybrid. Instead of his old setup, he’s using the GT2 hybrid with a new Graphite Design AD DI 95x shaft. He values the hybrid’s look, ability to shape shots, and consistency in ball flight. Spieth has historically preferred hybrids, using a 7-wood only in select events.

Beyond hybrids, Spieth is testing different Titleist driver heads and shafts, including the new Fujikura Ventus VeloCore+. Following wrist surgery, his driving stats have declined, prompting these equipment changes. He’s also evaluating the 2025 Titleist Pro V1x golf ball. Fans can watch this week to see Spieth’s final equipment choices in action.
