Scottie Scheffler had an eventful second round at the Genesis Invitational, finishing just one stroke behind leader Davis Thompson. Despite struggling with his driver, he made the weekend cut comfortably. At one point, he even held a share of the lead before falling behind.

Scheffler’s round was marked by a near fall while hitting from a bunker slope. When asked if his struggles were part of getting back into form, he jokingly said, “I’m probably going to go rebuild my swing this afternoon.” He later went to the driving range for a quick session with his driver.

Scheffler teed off at 2:35 p.m. ET for Round 3 alongside Thompson. The two remain atop the leaderboard, with Scheffler at 7-under and Thompson at 9-under. As the tournament progresses, fans eagerly await to see if Scheffler can regain his rhythm and take the lead.
