Lindsey Vonn made an impressive return to World Cup downhill skiing at St. Anton, securing sixth place in her first downhill event since 2019.

Her performance highlighted her resilience and determination following a near six-year retirement and a knee replacement.

Meanwhile, Italian veteran Federica Brignone continued her stellar season, claiming her first downhill victory with a time of 1:16.08.

The 34-year-old, now the oldest women’s World Cup winner, edged out Swiss Malorie Blanc and Czech Ester Ledecka for a thrilling podium finish.
