Understanding TGL’s Unique Format and Rules

Each TGL match consists of 15 holes divided into two segments: the first nine holes, known as “Triples,” involve a 3-on-3 alternate shot format, while the final six holes, termed “Singles,” feature head-to-head play. Matches are played in a state-of-the-art arena equipped with a massive simulator screen and an adjustable putting surface, enhancing the blend of virtual and real-world golf.

Additional elements, such as a shot clock and team timeouts, are incorporated to maintain a dynamic pace and strategic depth. The league’s season includes a series of matches leading to playoffs, with the top teams competing for a substantial prize, thereby adding a competitive edge to this groundbreaking venture
