Scottie Scheffler, the world’s No. 1 golfer, recently revealed the surprising cause of his hand injury—a glass-breaking mishap while making ravioli with his family on Christmas Day.

The injury required surgery, forcing Scheffler to miss key tournaments, including the Sentry and American Express events. Despite the setback, he remains optimistic about his recovery and return to the game.

Speaking at the Arnold Palmer Invitational media day, Scheffler confirmed his surgery was successful and shared that he took a few weeks off to ensure proper healing.

Though he hasn’t finalized his schedule, he hinted at a potential comeback at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which begins January 30. Videos of Scheffler working out with a brace suggest steady progress in his rehabilitation.

Scheffler, who became a father last May, continues to focus on balancing his family life with his professional career. With his recovery on track, fans eagerly await his return to the green and his pursuit of further PGA Tour victories.
