Scottie Scheffler has openly blamed LIV Golf players for the ongoing division in professional golf. Despite a 2023 framework agreement between the PGA Tour and Saudi-backed LIV Golf, no official resolution has been reached, prolonging tensions in the sport.

During a media call, Scheffler acknowledged missing the competition but emphasized that LIV players knowingly accepted the consequences of their decisions. He maintained that the PGA Tour remains home to the best players, expressing no ill will but urging reporters to ask LIV players about the sport’s future unity.

As the Masters approaches, top players from both tours will compete on a shared stage. While LIV golfers remain banned from some PGA Tour events, Augusta National has allowed them to participate. Meanwhile, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan remains hopeful for reunification, citing ongoing negotiations.
