Matildas star Sam Kerr is set to face trial on February 3, over allegations of racially aggravated harassment against police officer PC Stephen Lovell.

The charges stem from an incident in January 2023 involving a taxi fare dispute after a night out.

Kerr’s legal team denies she used the term “bastard,” claiming she instead referred to the officer as a “stupid white cop.

” CCTV footage from Twickenham police station has been requested as evidence. The Chelsea striker, recovering from an ACL injury, is not required to attend the trial.
