Lexi Thompson’s former caddie, Colton Heisey, has shed light on how the LPGA tour’s course setups may be disadvantaging big hitters like her. Speaking on *The Scratch Golf Show*, Heisey explained that longer hitters often face penalties due to course designs favoring shorter hitters. He described the setup as the “opposite of the men’s tour,” where power is typically an advantage.

Thompson, who became the youngest U.S. Women’s Open qualifier at 12 and turned pro at 15, boasts 11 LPGA victories and two Olympic appearances. She announced her retirement from full-time competition last May, stating she was excited to embrace the next chapter of her life. While stepping away, she emphasized her commitment to inspiring future golfers and contributing to the sport.

Beyond golf, Thompson faced challenges in 2023, including a hand injury that affected her swing. In January 2025, she shared personal news—her engagement to her partner, Max, during a trip to Whistler. As she moves forward, Thompson remains focused on family, personal growth, and leaving a lasting impact on women’s golf.
