Lindsey Vonn made an emotional return to the Olympia delle Tofane course in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, finishing 20th in the World Cup downhill event.

The 40-year-old skiing legend, competing here for the first time in six years, received a warm welcome from an enthusiastic crowd.

Despite a few errors, Vonn expressed gratitude for the chance to race again, calling her participation a miracle.

She praised the local fans and shared her excitement for the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics. Honoring her legacy, a local restaurant even named a pizza after her, cementing her place as a beloved figure in the Dolomites.
