Jordan Spieth is set to make his debut at the Cognizant Classic, eyeing the tournament’s $1.6 million winner’s prize. Despite offers from Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas to stay with them, Spieth opted for accommodations closer to the PGA National Members Club.

Spieth, a three-time major winner, will tee off alongside Russell Henley and Fowler in the first two rounds. While he declined their housing offer, he plans to spend time with them off the course. He acknowledged Florida’s prominence in professional golf and expressed excitement about competing there.

Ranked No. 70 in the Official Golf World Rankings, Spieth faces tough competition from Michael Kim, Shane Lowry, Luke Donald, and Sepp Straka. The Palm Beach event boasts a $9.2 million prize pool, ensuring a high-stakes battle among top-tier golfers.
