Jordan Spieth expressed his disappointment at missing the Arnold Palmer Invitational, admitting it was “tough watching.” Despite his status in golf, he wasn’t granted a sponsor’s exemption, forcing him to sit out. Now, he’s focused on competing at The Players Championship.

Reflecting on his absence, Spieth acknowledged that not qualifying made it easier to accept. He compared it to more painful experiences, such as missing the BMW Championship and Tour Championship last year. Unlike those season-ending events, he understood that entry into the Arnold Palmer Invitational wasn’t guaranteed.

Instead of dwelling on the missed opportunity, Spieth used the week to refine his game. He followed his usual training routine at home before heading to TPC Sawgrass. Although he wished he could have arrived earlier, he emphasized that his preparation remained uninterrupted, ensuring he was ready to compete.
