Joe Highsmith made history at the 2025 Cognizant Classic, securing his maiden PGA Tour victory with a two-stroke lead over Jacob Bridgeman and J.J. Spaun. His win, achieved in his 34th start, catapulted him 111 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings.

The victory saw Highsmith rise from 170th to 59th, surpassing top players like Jordan Spieth and Max Homa. His triumph earned him $1.656 million, 500 FedExCup points, and a leap to 10th in the FedExCup standings. Runner-ups Bridgeman and Spaun also made significant ranking jumps, earning $818,800 each.

Highsmith’s win secured him spots in major tournaments, including the 2025 Masters, PGA Championship, and The Sentry.
