Jordan Spieth has hinted at a possible format revamp for the Tour Championship. The three-time Major winner, who recently stepped down as a PGA Tour player director, suggested that various changes are being considered, including a potential shift to head-to-head match play.

The current format, introduced in 2019, gives players a starting score based on FedEx Cup standings, but it has received mixed reactions. While designed to create excitement, critics like Scottie Scheffler argue it does not fairly reflect season-long performance. Players are also exploring alternative formats to improve competitiveness.

Although Spieth is no longer directly involved in decision-making, he remains aware of ongoing discussions. He is now focused on regaining top form following wrist surgery. His recent return includes a T4 finish at the WM Phoenix Open, as he prepares for the Masters in April.
