Carlos Alcaraz has intensified his preparation for the Australian Open with strategic adjustments to his equipment and technique. Returning from a break in the Dominican Republic and exhibitions in the U.S., the Spaniard has been training at the Ferrero Tennis Academy and Club de Campo de Murcia.

With aspirations to become the youngest player to achieve all four Grand Slam titles, Alcaraz has added five grams to the neck of his Babolat racket, enhancing control and power. This adjustment, using lead tape, complements his explosive forehand and maximizes the force of his shots. Additionally, Alcaraz has refined his serve mechanics, simplifying his motion to gain consistency and rhythm.

The modifications aim to counter rivals like Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev while addressing serve inconsistencies that troubled him last season. Guided by his coach Samuel López, these changes mark a calculated step in Alcaraz’s pursuit of excellence on the courts of Melbourne Park.
