Brooks Koepka Still Brooding Over Lack of Majors With Just Hours to Go for LIV Golf Season Opener: ‘Not Enough’

With just hours to go before LIV Golf’s 2025 season opener in Riyadh, Brooks Koepka remains fixated on one thing—major championships. Despite an impressive 2024 season with two wins, five top-10 finishes, and $11.6 million in earnings, he still considers the year a disappointment. For Koepka, true success is measured by major victories, a standard he has upheld since his dominant PGA Tour days.

Koepka’s frustration stems from his lackluster major performances in 2024. After winning five majors between 2018 and 2023, including back-to-back U.S. Open titles and three PGA Championships, his best result last season was a T26 finish at the PGA Championship. His recent Instagram post hinted at his dissatisfaction, and he made it clear in an interview: “The majors were terrible. That’s how I judge my year.”

Looking ahead to 2025, Koepka has made key changes to reclaim his dominance. He split with longtime swing coach Claude Harmon III and is now working with Pete Cowen and Jeff Pierce, focusing on his short game and putting. His relentless pursuit of major success remains unwavering. The question now is whether these adjustments will help him recapture the championship form that once made him the most feared player in golf’s biggest events.
