After losing her pet to kidney disease, Lindsey Vonn fosters new pup for dog Leo’s companion

After losing her beloved dog Lucy to kidney disease on March 31, 2025, Lindsey Vonn made the heartfelt decision to foster a new puppy as a companion for her other dog, Leo. Lucy had been her travel partner and loyal friend.

Vonn, who recently returned to skiing after a six-year hiatus, had been competing in the 2024/25 World Cup. Despite a strong season start, she rushed home from Sun Valley after her podium finish to be by Lucy’s side during her final days.

On Instagram, Vonn shared videos of Leo joyfully playing with the foster pup, expressing how much it meant to see him happy again. She captioned, “I’d do anything to see Leo happy like this.”
