Max Homa hires Michael Greller as temporary caddie for The Sentry

Max Homa has enlisted Michael Greller, the longtime caddie for Jordan Spieth, to fill in for him at the 2025 PGA Tour season opener, The Sentry, at Kapalua Resort in Hawaii. This partnership, however, is temporary, as Homa’s regular caddie, Joe Greiner, is unavailable but is expected to return for the West Coast Swing.

Homa, who is coming off a winless 2024 season after five victories in the prior three years, currently ranks 41st in the world, down from 7th a year ago. Meanwhile, Spieth, who did not qualify for The Sentry, is recovering from wrist surgery after his season ended in August. Despite his injury, Spieth reported progress and is preparing to return to competition in the coming weeks.
