Justin Thomas stunned fans with a remarkable recovery shot during Round One of the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. On the 18th hole, he delivered a near-impossible escape from the rough, showcasing his skill and composure under pressure.

With one foot on grass and the other near a creek, Thomas chipped the ball 61 feet onto the green, landing just 11 feet from the pin. Though he finished with a bogey, the shot drew admiration online, with fans calling it “fantastic” and “insane.”

Despite ending the round at 2-over 73 and tied for 73rd, Thomas has had a strong 2025 season. With one win, multiple top finishes, and third place in the FedEx Cup standings, he remains a key contender.
