Nelly Korda, the world’s top-ranked golfer, won’t defend her T-Mobile Match Play title after falling 1-up to Ariya Jutanugarn. Despite leading late, a pair of missed short putts ended her run in round-robin play at Shadow Creek.

Korda’s exit highlights a tough week for top players, with only No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul advancing to the knockout round. Thitikul maintained a relaxed approach, noting that even top players can be edged out by slightly better performances.

The tournament now moves into its elimination phase, with Thitikul facing Nataliya Guseva. Other key matchups include Brooke Henderson vs. Maja Stark and Jutanugarn vs. Narin An as the field narrows to four finalists.
