Jordan Spieth expressed his disappointment over missing the Arnold Palmer Invitational due to not meeting eligibility criteria and lacking a sponsor exemption. Instead of competing, he maintained a structured practice routine, balancing playing and training to prepare for The Players Championship.

Despite missing the event, Spieth remained focused on his game, practicing three days and playing three days during the week. He arrived at TPC Sawgrass on Sunday, settling into his routine. He acknowledged the tournament’s prestige but emphasized the importance of earning his spot through performance.

Spieth began The Players Championship with a 2-under 70, finishing tied for 31st after the first round. He had a solid start but struggled with accuracy off the tee. Aiming to improve in the following rounds, he focused on tightening his drives and hitting more fairways.
