Legendary skier Lindsey Vonn, 40, made a stunning return to competitive action after a six-year hiatus, finishing sixth in the World Cup downhill in Austria.

Despite undergoing knee replacement surgery last April, Vonn displayed remarkable resilience, finishing just 58 hundredths of a second behind winner Federica Brignone.

Vonn, now the oldest woman to finish in the top 30 of a World Cup event, expressed confidence and joy at her comeback.

She acknowledged room for improvement but celebrated the achievement, stating, “For the first downhill race in six years, it was a pretty good start.”
